Lorne Cooper’s musical journey began at the age of 14, the first time he picked up a guitar. Since that moment, it has been the driving force behind every decision he’s made and just about every thought. It only took a year for his peers to begin noticing his natural ability on the instrument and to start coming to him for lessons. Lorne has taught part-time since the age of 15 and continues to teach today full-time through his own music school, The Ultimate School of Rock and Jazz; now, through his new website guitarlessonlive.com, Lorne is bringing quality guitar education worldwide to anyone with a computer and a guitar!

Lorne’s professional music performance career began at the age of 17 yrs old and since then, he has played internationally opening up for such rock n’ roll legends as The Guess Who, Kansas, and Grand Funk Railroad as well as country legends Brooks & Dunn, and country stars Sugarland. Lorne can be seen on regular rotation on CMT, MTV, and Much Music in Canada and The United States playing guitar for New Country star Carolyn Dawn Johnson in her video “Into You”, and for Canadian R’n’B star Jully Black for her #1 video “Seven Day Fool”.

Lorne Cooper is currently a Guitarist / Composer / Performer / Educator, in and around the Toronto area. He can be seen regularly performing either as a solo artist fronting his band, acoustic duo, or as a highly sought after session player playing along side some of the top talent of the Canadian and International Music Scene. Recently, Lorne has been recruited to play the dance club circuit to improvise over house, hip-hop, and other club music along with whatever hits the DJ is spinning.

Lorne is well versed and has experience playing and recording in several styles including Blues, Classic and Modern Rock, Pop, R’n’B, Funk, Jazz, New Country, Dance / House.
